 well, because napster was stopped, there has been an industry ban of mp3 files, and my web file storage provider decided to erase all my mp3's, which were all my songs.  :O(  well, now i've put all the songs back in a streaming audio format that doesn't sound as clear, but they will play immediately upon clicking the song titles.  kevin and i have replicated all 4 cd's, and they look & sound great.  we have 2 cd's in the works, and they are flowering at a slower rate.  i just got layed off from my job of 6yrs, so we've resorted to recording in our home studios.  so far everything sounds better than in the real studio lol.  i'll be updating a lot more now.  kevin and i had a wonderful rehearsal today & are writing new songs together.  l8r ~¿Q</div> <bR> <div> 9/5/00</div> <div>     sorry i haven't written you in a while.  a lot has happened since my last entry.  kevin and i final mixed and mastered "the end of the may", and it sounds amazing.  also, we recorded basic tracks for our next 2 records, with a lot more "rock"-sounding stuff.  we're also gonna wrap-up the cd packages for all 4 cd's so far.  i'm also gonna "update" this website and give it a little polish.  also, i received all the video tapes with the outward bound episodes with erno music in them.  pretty neat.  well, that's it for now.  we'll be working on the next 3 records at the same time.</div> <bR> <div> 5/2/00</div> <div>     a lot has happened since my last entry.  first off, kevin and i have completed all final mixing for "the end of the may," and i posted 5 of them in the "sounds" section of this website.  for a good example of life imitating art, the mastering date is 5/26, the end of may.  weird, huh???  also, 6/3 11am will be the air date of the new season of "outward bound teens" on the discovery channel.  my music will be all over the entire season, so be sure to have a look and listen.  we're about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way finished with basic tracks for the 5th record, "without the aid of hippos."  i think it'll take 6 months to a year to complete.  i've already begun writing songs for the 6th record, yet untitled.  i have to get in the shower now.  have a great day...</div> <bR> <div> tom</div> <bR> <div> 4/12/00</div> <div>     nothing much to report today.  i got a much faster computer, so my pages will look better than ever.  i've been writing a lot of songs in the last few weeks.  i'm exhausted...</div> <bR> <div> erno</div> <bR> <div> 3/30/00</div> <div>     jodi and i got engaged about 3 weeks ago.  we're both very excited.  her ring looks beautiful.  anyway, kevin and i will plow through a couple of final mixes this weekend.  hopefully, when we're done, we'll have 13-15 songs complete come monday.  i don't know which ones will be done.</div> <bR> <div> so long,</div> <div> eron</div> <bR> <div> 2/25/00</div> <div>     kevin and i have final mixed 9 songs so far, and they're sounding great.  we're taking a little breather, so we can refuel and mix the remaining 10-15 songs for albums #4 & 5.  regarding the tv show our music will be in...  it will start this summer, not in the spring like i said before.  that's pretty much it.  so long, erno</div> <bR> <div> 2/1/00</div> <div>     it's the new millennium, and kevin and i are final mixing two albums at once, and i'm writing for the 6th album already.  we've final-mixed 4 songs so far, and will do 6 more in 2 weekends.  we'll keep final mixing until 2 albums worth of songs are mixed.  the albums will be released as follows: "the end of the may" - will be released at the end of may (pretty cool how life's imitating art).  "without the aid of hippos" will be released in 10/00.  that's about it for now.  sorry for not posting in such a long time...</div> <bR> <div> love,</div> <bR> <div> tom</div> <bR> <div> 12/2/99</div> <div>     hi there.  sorry for waiting so long to post an entry, but like i said, i only like to post when i have something special to say or impart.  i'm excited to report that kevin and i made the "rough sequence" of the end of the may, and it sounds wonderful.  it's a bit of a departure.  more instrumentals this time out.  also, kevin and i have landed a lot of the songs from the 1st 3 records onto the entire first season of "outward bound - teens", not just one show.  the company loves our music very much.  that's about it for now.  see ya, erno....</div> <bR> <div> 11/16/99</div> <div>     i'm very excited to report that 2 of my songs have officially made it into a show for a program on the discovery channel titled "outward bound teens".  this is a real world-style show.  i received the official news today after a very difficult day at work.  the show will air in the spring of 2000.  i'll keep you updated.  the songs that made it into the first show are satellite parade and peppermintees.  many others will be in shows after the first one.  pretty cool.</div> <bR> <div> eron</div> <bR> <div> 10/29/99</div> <div>     i know it's been quite a while before this posting, but, to be honest, i only put entries when i have something to say that's special.  well, i have something special to say today.  kevin called me at work with the news that one of my songs in on the top 10 list at a small new jersey college radio station.  you see, this guy came to our studio to ask kevin some questions regarding his recorded music.  at some point, kevin started playing him erno songs.  he LOVED everything, especially the heavier songs.  anyway, this guy happens to be the program director of a college radio station.  he started playing the song "plastic sun/crazy moon" and that was it.  i don't know the details of how it got in the top 10, but it probably came from listener requests.  pretty cool, huh???  the top 10 list will be submitted to the cmj (college music journal) publication, and as long as my song(s) are on that list, my song(s) will be in the magazine.  the trick is to get other colleges to do the same thing.  then it could all snowball when radio stations get wind of this new artist ERNO.  well, i gotta go now.  i hope everything's going well for all of you.</div> <bR> <div> love,</div> <bR> <div> erno</div> <bR> <div> 10/7/99</div> <div>     great news!!!!  kevin called me at work yesterday to tell me that my music will be used on a discovery channel program called "outward bound" or something like that.  i believe it's a "real world" type show.  the woman who's in charge of the music for the show is a friend of ours.  kevin worked with her in the past.  pretty cool, huh???  now my music has been in a dance piece and will soon be in a tv show.  i think it's a series, so it could be even cooler.  hopefully a movie or 2 will want to use my music also.  well, i'll see ya.</div> <bR> <div> tom</div> <bR> <div> 10/4/99</div> <div>     10-4 good buddy!!!  i know i haven't updated you in a couple of weeks, but my past 2 weeks at work were like being in hell.  it was exciting, but a little too much work for one person, i feel.  anyway, on the music front, kevin and i are well on our way to finishing the 4th & 5th records.  yesterday, kevin and i tested a bunch of new songs in a live situation.  they sounded great.  we did versions of "fallen sky", "my 2 cents", and "thanks, god!!!"  they sounded excellent.  kevin and i play by "feel" when we do songs live.  a song that was a simple "folkish" tune on the record could become a rock song with distorted guitars.  "sleep on your side", for example, has 4 performed versions.  well, i want to get some more sleep before getting ready for work.  i promise i'll keep you posted weekly.</div> <bR> <div> tom</div> <bR> <div> 9/21/99</div> <div>     today, jodi and i have our 3-yr anniversary.  isn't it funny how i did most of my writing and recording after meeting her?  she's my muse, without a question.  this entry is dedicated to her.  this past weekend, kevin and i came up with a whole new style of recording.  like i stated in an earlier entry, i'm recording "without the aid of hippos" (#5) at my home studio in brooklyn.  in the past, i've mixed complete songs at my home studio, and dumped onto 24-track tape at the manhattan studio, fully mixed.  there was no way for kevin to change the mix.  all he could do was incorporate other new instruments into the already finished mix.  this time, we were able to put all the individual "elements" or tracks onto the 24-track tape separately.  now kevin has a lot more options as far as mixing goes.  this will give the 5th record a different sound than previous ones.  i hope i didn't confuse you!!!!  well, jodi, i love you, and am happy you're in my life.</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
